PED checklist FAQ

Why is EN 10204 Type 3.1 important for PED fasteners?

Because pressure equipment projects usually require lot-specific traceability for materials, mechanical properties and heat treatment. A general supplier declaration is not enough for most critical fastener orders.

When should NACE MR0175 be added to the checklist?

Add NACE review whenever the process service involves H2S or sour service conditions. In that case, the correct grade and hardness-controlled documentation must be confirmed before order release.

Can this checklist be used before sending an RFQ?

Yes. It is designed for early-stage procurement screening, supplier qualification and pre-shipment review so technical and documentation gaps are found before they delay the project.
