PED fastener documentation checklist for pressure equipment projects.
Use this interactive checklist before RFQ, supplier approval or shipment release to confirm the PED scope, EN 10204 documentation, stud-and-nut pairing and service-specific requirements for pressure-boundary fasteners.
Supplier scope check
Confirm that the supplier and the quoted grades are actually within the PED quality scope.
Material traceability
Review the core documents used by quality teams and notified bodies during project release.
Service condition review
Make sure the document package matches actual service conditions such as H2S or low temperature.
Commercial release check
Capture the practical details that usually delay approval even when the technical grades are correct.
Need PED-certified stud bolts with a complete document package?
Send your grade list, service condition and documentation requirements. LOKRON can review the checklist with your team and confirm a quotation-ready package.
PED checklist FAQ
Why is EN 10204 Type 3.1 important for PED fasteners?
Because pressure equipment projects usually require lot-specific traceability for materials, mechanical properties and heat treatment. A general supplier declaration is not enough for most critical fastener orders.
When should NACE MR0175 be added to the checklist?
Add NACE review whenever the process service involves H2S or sour service conditions. In that case, the correct grade and hardness-controlled documentation must be confirmed before order release.
Can this checklist be used before sending an RFQ?
Yes. It is designed for early-stage procurement screening, supplier qualification and pre-shipment review so technical and documentation gaps are found before they delay the project.
