An EN 10204 Type 3.1 inspection certificate records conformity with the purchase order and includes test results released by an authorised inspection representative independent of production. What does an EN 10204 3.1 certificate prove?
It documents conformity with the order requirements and reports test results for the supplied material. It must be checked together with the purchase specification, product marking and heat traceability.
Is an MTR the same as a PED certificate?
No. The MTR is material and inspection evidence. PED conformity depends on the applicable pressure-equipment assessment, product scope, quality system and issued conformity documentation.
